The Shrike Sect

The Shrike Sect are a heretical religious order of birds that need to sacrifice creatures to the thorns for some dastardly and unknown purpose. The Shrikes build thorn temples but not until they have sacrificed and cleansed the land in the blood of creatures. Once the temples are constructed, they gather bodies and sacrifice them in one ceremony to gain victory points that leaves behind a rot which slowly festers in that clearing and slowly spreads over the game board. They can bolster their ability to collect sacrifices and bodies using their talisman. The shrikes need to often go on attacking sprees and always ensure that no matter the roll, they end up on top as their own deaths can also lend to the cause.
